The practice was founded by Dr. Harry Romanowitz and Dr. Stuart Silverstein. Harry Romanowitz, MD, FAAP Dr. Romanowitz has served the local community his entire career. Dr. Romanowitz served as the full time chair of pediatrics and pediatrician-in-chief at Stamford Hospital for more than 20 years. Prior to that, he was in private practice at one of Stamford’s longest running pediatric centers. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Yale and Columbia Presbytarian Medical Centers. He is the co-founder and Medial Director for Firefly After Hour Pediatrics.
Stuart Silverstein,MD, FAAP
Dr. Silverstein has more than 20 years of experience in pediatric medicine in New York and San Francisco, caring for children in a variety of emergency and acute care settings. Most recently, Dr. Silverstein served as the assistant director of the pediatric emergency department at Nyack Hospital. Dr. Silverstein is the author of over a dozen books and articles, including the author of " Laughing your Way to Passing the Pediatric Boards, published by Medhumor Medical Publications, a study guide used by thousands of pediatricians preparing for specialty board exams each year. Dr. Silverstein, in addition to being the co-founder and Clinical Director of Firefly, is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the New York Medical College in Vallhalla, NY. Dr. Silverstein is now bringing his experience to the Fairfield County community where he has resided for more than 10 years with his wife and children. Both Drs. Silverstein and Romanowitz are on staff at Stamford Hospital. Dr. Romanowitz is also on staff at Greenwich Hospital. Dr. Silverstein, serves on the liason committee for the departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Stamford Hospital.
