Firefly After Hours Pediatrics is an office based after hours urgent care practice specifically created to treat children, adolescents and young adults in the evenings, weekends and on holidays.

The doctors and staff at Firefly are experienced in urgent medical care. Staffed and supervised by board-certified pediatricians with training and experience in pediatric urgent care, our doctors and professional staff have helped children in a variety of emergency care settings. We know how to work with kids and their parents under stressful situations. We are here to help you and your child feel comfortable and to ensure that your child receives nothing but the best care.

Firefly is an extension of your physician’s office, not a replacement.

We coordinate care with your child’s own physician. Firefly supports your child's pediatrician by caring for your child when he or she needs after hours urgent care. Your child’s physician will continue to address their long-term healthcare needs including wellness visits, illnesses that occur during the day, perform school physicals and routine immunizations. Following your child’s visit at Firefly, we forward a summary of treatment to your doctor to facilitate informed follow-up care.

Our office treats infants, children and adolescents only.

Infants, children and adolescents have unique physical characteristics that require special care and equipment. According to The American Academy of Pediatrics, less than 6% of emergency rooms have the specialized equipment infants, children and adolescents require.

Most immediate care and Urgent Care facilities are geared toward adult care. We are geared toward the special needs of children, adolescents and young adults !

Our office is set up with the singular purpose of serving kids—from the environment to the experience. Firefly is equipped to handle pediatric emergencies including, but not limited to, sports injuries, allergic reactions, fever, respiratory distress, lacerations and minor trauma.

No Appointments Required.

Our doctors are available on a walk-in basis and you may register online before leaving your home. In most hospital emergency rooms, waiting times often exceed 3 to 4 hours - especially for children whose needs are typically less serious than those of adult patients. In addition to the wait, a hospital emergency room may expose children to scenes that are not child appropriate and possibly traumatizing.

At Firefly your child is seen in a child-friendly setting. Books, toys, games and electronic media such as DVD players are here to ease your child’s stress. Our goal is to provide an efficient, warm and inviting alternative to the emergency room or general adult oriented urgent care facility.

We are staffed by local Board Certified pediatricians. We live work and play in the community and our kids attend local schools.
